About Us
Avilar is a leader in the talent management software industry.
We’ve been around for more than a decade and in that time have helped hundreds of organizations to optimize their workforces. We specialize in competency-based solutions that are customized to the organization’s needs.
Now, here’s some info about our bloggers.
Christine Hipple has been with Avilar since 2006 where she’s accomplished such diverse things as creating and teaching multiple workshops on competency management, written documentation for WebMentor Skills, our web-based competency management system, developed Avilar’s core competency model and helped develop our new performance management module.
Chris’s favorite part of the job is working with our clients to understand their talent management needs and developing cost-effective solutions with them.
While most of Chris’s experience is in Human Resource Development in health care and government, she also served as operations manager for a local medical practice where she gained firsthand experience in managing a small business.
Andy Jaynes has been with Avilar since mid-2009. He works directly with professionals who are trying to learn how web-based workforce
management tools can add value to their efforts. Using the myriad of ways to communicate these days, Andy is in constant contact with customers, partners, industry-analysts, and other professionals, keeping an hear to the ground for trends, best practices, and innovative solutions. Andy has always had a focus on service and technology, from his years in retail sales working for an international corporation, to sales management and marketing strategy for a small regional manufacturing company, his work experience also spans the product – service gamut, across both tangible and intangible assets, for small to large organizations. Andy has developed and implemented recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, training and development, and performance directives and has innovative views of the process, himself being a member of Gen-X.
Andy looks forward to sharing his thoughts and ideas, and engaging with the online community in an effort to improve talent management processes and outcomes for small businesses everywhere.
